El Cerro

Danville's northern neighborhoods, off of Diablo Road/Green Valley/El Cerro, offer a variety of home sizes, styles and price ranges. The Cameo Acres neighborhood has homes starting around $1,500,000, but newer rebuilds can sell in the $3,000,000 range. Davidon's Matadera development has homes with values in excess of $3.5M. There are two elementary schools, oddly close to one another, in the neighborhood. Both schools score exceptionally well.

Those that live in the neighborhood have the benefit of being close to Oak Hill Park.

It is one of Danville's treasures – home to free summer evening concerts, an outstanding children's play area, and a full service event center. Super achievers from Monte Vista High School include NASA astronaut and space walker Dr. Leroy Chiao and Super Bowl champ Zach Ertz.
